Cato town leaders pushed for the arrest of Jody Snyder—now supervisor-elect—over a 2023 gravel incident involving her son, according to The Citizen.
Surveillance showed Allen Holdridge taking town gravel with Snyder’s truck, aided by town staff. Officials claimed it was unauthorized and pressed charges, despite the district attorney finding no grounds to prosecute. Snyder wasn’t directly involved beyond loaning her vehicle.
Two years later, Snyder won a surprise write-in campaign, unseating longtime Supervisor Charles Ray, who had pushed for the investigation. No charges were filed, and restitution was paid.
