A months-long drug investigation ended with multiple arrests after deputies executed a search warrant at a Farmington home.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office said it began receiving tips in fall 2025 about suspected drug sales near State Route 332 and County Road 41. Deputies also noticed an increase in traffic stops in the area involving drug-related activity .
Investigators determined the residence at 5988 County Road 41 served as a location where people went specifically to buy drugs. Authorities said crack cocaine sales occurred at the home.
Deputies executed a search warrant at the address around 10 a.m. Dec. 11 with assistance from the Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, Road Patrol, and Investigations Division. Officials temporarily closed the area of County Road 41 for about one hour during the operation.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Carie Lee Gardner, 47; Tod Stephen Gardner, 54; and Davine L. McGinnis, 28. All three face charges of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.
Authorities placed the defendants in the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment. At arraignment, Carie Gardner and McGinnis were released, while Tod Gardner remained held pending further court action.
