A Farmington man was arrested Monday after an investigation into graffiti painted on the outside wall of the RTS bus station at Geneva's Exchange Place parking lot, police said.
Richard Lee, 22, was charged with making graffiti, a class A misdemeanor, according to an Oct. 12 City of Geneva Police Department release. Police said two people spray-painted the words āDeport Invaders, PatriotFront.USā on the wall; the release did not say when the vandalism occurred.
Detectives identified Lee as a person of interest during the investigation and arrested him at his residence without incident at about 2 p.m. Monday, police said.
Lee was issued an appearance ticket to return to Geneva City Criminal Court at a later date. Police did not provide a court date.
The investigation remains active, and detectives said additional charges are pending. The release included a photo labeled āSecond Suspectā but did not identify that person or report a second arrest.
Anyone with information can contact the Geneva Police Department at 315-828-6771 or Detective Daniel Hickey at 315-828-6781 or dhickey@cityofgenevany.gov. Police said tips can remain anonymous.
