Driver indicted for drugged crash that injured DOT crew

A woman from Arkport faces 12 charges after allegedly plowing through a Hornellsville work zone while high on nitrous oxide, injuring three state workers, according to the Hornell Evening Tribune.

Brooke Hayden, 31, was indicted for assault, reckless endangerment, and tampering with evidence after prosecutors say she ignored warning signs, swerved through cones, and hit a DOT crew on Route 36 in June.

She’s already in state prison for a parole violation and could face over 25 more years if convicted.
