A man is facing felony charges after police say he slashed another person with a knife during a fight at a local bar.
Frederick R. Dillingham, 45, of Penn Yan, was arrested after officers responded to a report of an assault involving a weapon.
Police say Dillingham was at the establishment with another village resident when he took out a knife and cut the victim across the leg, causing injury. Officers found Dillingham shortly afterward and took him into custody without incident.
He was charged with second-degree assault, a Class D felony, and fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor. Dillingham was taken to the Yates County Jail to await arraignment.
