Deputies arrested a Canandaigua man after he allegedly threatened someone during an argument that played out in front of two children.
William Edward Alger, 39, was taken into custody around 7 p.m. on Nov. 24 at his home on Woodland Park Circle, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators say Alger physically menaced the victim during a verbal altercation. The incident happened while two children were present.
He was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and third-degree menacing.
Deputies took Alger to the Ontario County Jail, where he awaited arraignment. He’s expected to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
