A single Powerball ticket costs $2 and carries odds of roughly 1 in 292 million to win the jackpot. The cash option for Monday’s prize is estimated at $303.2 million before taxes.
Powerball drawings take place at 10:59 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Ticket sales close at 9:45 p.m. in most participating states.
Powerball is offered in 45 states plus Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Double Play, a separate add-on drawing with a top prize of $10 million, is available in 13 jurisdictions.
