A speeding stop in Waterloo led to a DWI arrest just after midnight Monday.
Police say 23-year-old Zachary L. Bishop was behind the wheel with a blood alcohol content of 0.19%, more than twice the legal limit.
Officers with the Waterloo Police Department pulled Bishop over around 12:02 a.m. on Nov. 24 for speeding. During the stop, they found signs of intoxication and later charged him with Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated DWI.
Bishop also faces several traffic violations, including driving with an open container of alcohol, operating an uninspected vehicle, and speeding.
He was released with appearance tickets and is due in Town of Waterloo Court at a later date.
