- The outbreak has sickened nearly a dozen people across seven states, including New York
- Three people have been hospitalized
- The contaminated product contains organic moringa leaf powder imported from Vallon Farm Direct in Jodhpur, India
- The affected supplements have been pulled from store shelves and online listings
Where was it sold?
The recalled Member’s Mark Super Greens Powder was available:
- In Sam’s Club stores nationwide
- Through the Sam’s Club website
The CDC has not recalled any additional Member’s Mark supplements yet, but officials may add more moringa-based products as the investigation expands.
States with reported salmonella cases
Health officials have confirmed salmonella infections in the following states:
- New York
- Michigan
- Virginia
- Kansas
- Florida
- South Carolina
- North Carolina
Samples collected from affected individuals’ homes in Michigan and Virginia tested positive for the bacteria.
