Cornell men’s soccer earned a 2–1 road victory over Penn on Saturday afternoon at Rhodes Field, improving to 9–2–1 on the season. The Quakers fell to 6–3–4 with the loss.

After a scoreless opening half, Cornell broke through in the 62nd minute when Connor Miller converted to put the Big Red ahead 1–0. Kasper Wollstein doubled the advantage in the 84th minute, cutting through the defense and finishing into the lower left corner to make it 2–0. Penn’s Marco Bottene pulled one back in the final minute, but Cornell held firm to secure three important Ivy League points.
Goalkeeper Ryan Friedberg made two saves in the win and improved to 9–2–1 on the year. Penn keeper Phillip Falcon III stopped six shots, while Oliver Pratt recorded the assist on Bottene’s late goal.
Cornell outplayed Penn in the attacking third, creating multiple high-quality chances and controlling possession for much of the second half.
Cornell will return home Tuesday night to host in-state rival Syracuse at Berman Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
