Alexandra Barry opened the scoring in the ninth minute, converting a left-footed shot after a deflected cross set up the opportunity. Princeton (3-5-3, 2-2-0 Ivy) added an insurance goal in the 88th minute when Drew Coomans intercepted a pass and fired a long-range effort that ricocheted off the crossbar and in.

Senior goalkeeper Natalie Medugno made two first-half saves for Cornell (4-5-4, 1-3-0 Ivy), while senior midfielder Mariana Kessinger and defender Gaby Gonzalez recorded the Big Red’s shots on goal. Cornell had two promising free kicks in the second half—one from Ella Koschineg that cleared the bar in the 72nd minute and another from Kessinger that narrowly missed three minutes later—but couldn’t find the equalizer.

Princeton’s goalkeeping tandem of Sydney Romano and Cecilia Cerone combined for the clean sheet, with Romano earning the win in her first career start. The Tigers outshot Cornell 12–7 and held a 4–2 advantage in shots on goal.
