A Clifton Springs man was ticketed after deputies say he left two dogs inside a hot vehicle outside the Target store in Victor.
Jason M. Pilato, 49, was arrested on October 4 after Ontario County deputies responded to an animal complaint around 2:37 p.m. in the parking lot of the Commons Boulevard store.
Deputies found the vehicle not running and observed the dogs showing signs of heat exposure. Pilato was charged under New York Agriculture Law Section 353D, which covers the confinement of animals in vehicles under extreme temperatures.
He was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Victor Town Court at a later date.
