Deputies arrested a man Friday night following a domestic altercation in the Town of Palmyra.
The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Scott E. Davis, was taken into custody after allegedly choking the victim and fleeing the scene on foot.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said the incident happened at a home on South Townline Road. After locating Davis, deputies charged him with criminal obstruction of breathing and second-degree harassment.
He was taken to the Wayne County Jail for centralized arraignment. An order of protection for the victim was requested in court.
Davis is scheduled to appear in Palmyra Town Court for further proceedings.
