A search warrant executed in Cayuga County led to the seizure of drugs, firearms, and the arrest of two people, according to the Finger Lakes Drug Task Force.
Investigators said the warrant was carried out March 17 at a residence linked to suspected narcotics activity.
Authorities reported finding more than 8 ounces of methamphetamine, 4.8 grams of crack cocaine, drug packaging materials, cash, and several high-caliber rifles with ammunition and high-capacity magazines.
Chad M. Bower, 44, and Apryl J. Chiszar, 41, both of Genoa, were arrested following the search.
Both were charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, a Class AII felony, and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, Class B felonies.
Bower also faces three counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, a Class A misdemeanor, due to a prior felony conviction.
Both were taken to the Cayuga County Jail for centralized arraignment and remain in custody pending further court proceedings.
