A Naples Central School employee has been placed on leave after making social media posts referencing Charlie Kirk’s assassination, sparking community outrage, according to 13WHAM-TV. Parents are demanding the employee’s firing, calling the behavior unethical and unacceptable in public schools.
Superintendent Kevin Swartz confirmed a formal investigation is underway. A similar case in LeRoy also led to a teacher being placed on leave for “inappropriate” posts.
Legal experts say public employees risk termination if posts disrupt workplace efficiency, even under First Amendment protections.
