Police arrested a man early Saturday after a traffic stop for an expired inspection led to DWI charges.
Charles L. Smith, 33, of Savannah, was pulled over around 2:34 a.m. on September 14 after officers spotted a vehicle with a New York State inspection sticker that had expired in January.
During the stop, Waterloo Police say Smith appeared intoxicated. A test later showed his blood alcohol content was 0.17% — more than twice the legal limit.
Smith was issued traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Waterloo Court at a later date.
