Joe Dinolfo’s campaign for New York State Supreme Court just got a boost from two major law enforcement groups.
On Monday, the Rochester Police Locust Club and the Finger Lakes Police Federation announced their endorsement of Dinolfo, who’s running in the Seventh Judicial District, which includes Cayuga, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne, and Yates counties.
“We appreciate your support”
In a letter of support, Locust Club President Geoffrey R. Wiater praised Dinolfo’s long-standing backing of law enforcement and wished him well in the campaign. The endorsement adds to a growing list of support for Dinolfo, who has also been backed by the Monroe County Law Enforcement Association.
“I’m honored to have the support of the brave men and women of the Police Locust Club and Finger Lakes Police Federation,” Dinolfo said. “They work hard every day to help keep our communities safe.”
Decades of legal and community service
Dinolfo has more than 30 years of legal experience, including the past 14 years representing cognitively disadvantaged individuals in civil litigation for the New York State Appellate Division, Fourth Department. He previously worked in private practice and served as a Hearing Examiner for the City of Rochester.
A lifelong resident of the region and first-generation American, Dinolfo is also a 20-year volunteer firefighter with the Egypt Fire Department. He lives in Fairport with his wife and three daughters and is running on the Republican and Conservative lines.
Two Supreme Court seats are on the ballot this year following the retirements of Justices Gail Donofrio and Craig Doran. The general election is Tuesday, November 4, with early voting from October 25 to November 2.
