Drivers in New York are paying a bit more at the pump this week, with regular gas averaging $3.10 per gallon, up from $3.06, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
That price is nearly unchanged from a month ago but down 7% from this time last year, when it hit $3.35. Over the past year, state prices have swung between $3.00 and $3.35.
New York’s current average is about 2.5% cheaper than the national rate of $3.18.
