A man and woman from Syracuse face felony charges after a stabbing Thursday afternoon in Seneca County.
Deputies say 53-year-old Jose A. Davilla-Parilla stabbed a man in the shoulder during a fight at Mays Point. Luzdeli Ramos-Acevedo, 48, is accused of grabbing the victim’s phone when he tried to call 911.
Seneca County Sheriff’s investigators responded to the scene around 4 p.m. and found the victim with a knife wound. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Both suspects fled but were later arrested with help from the Syracuse Police Department. Davilla-Parilla was charged with second-degree assault, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and other related charges. Ramos-Acevedo faces counts of menacing and criminal mischief.
Davilla-Parilla was held on $20,000 bail. Ramos-Acevedo was released. Both are due back in Tyre Town Court. A protective order was issued for the victim.
