Canandaigua man charged with felony DWI after crash

A Canandaigua man is facing a felony DWI charge after a late-night crash at a busy city intersection.

Police say 48-year-old Phillip E. Meek was arrested just after midnight on August 24 following a motor vehicle accident at Eastern Boulevard and South Main Street. An investigation revealed Meek was intoxicated at the time of the crash.

Officers also found an open container of alcohol inside his vehicle. Meek was arrested and later released on an appearance ticket. He’s scheduled to appear in City of Canandaigua Court at a later date.
