A driver accused of hitting a mailbox in Victor was arrested Saturday for felony aggravated DWI after deputies found him showing signs of intoxication.
Ontario County deputies say Tad Evan Adams, 43, of Little Falls, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. outside 888 County Road 9. The arrest followed a report of a possibly sick or drunk driver who had struck a mailbox on Lynaugh Road.
Deputies located the vehicle shortly after and found Adams behind the wheel, alone. He showed clear signs of impairment during field sobriety tests, according to the sheriff’s office.
Because Adams had a previous DWI conviction within the last 10 years, the new charge was elevated to a felony. He was released on several traffic tickets and is expected to appear in Victor Town Court at a later date.
