After New York State cut funding for Seneca County’s victims services, local lawmakers are stepping in to keep it alive, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
A county committee voted to cover the $70,000 gap and absorb the domestic violence coordinator’s salary into the budget. DA John Nabinger criticized the flawed scoring system that cost his office the grant.
The full board will vote on the funding in September.
