Police arrested a man after a stabbing on West Green Street left one person seriously injured.
Officers say they found the victim around 9:45 p.m. on June 12 with stab wounds. Emergency crews treated the person at the scene before transporting them to a trauma center.
Investigators later identified the suspect as Nazir Chisolm, 20, of Ithaca. On August 22, police located Chisolm in Maryville, Tennessee, and brought him back to Ithaca.
He is now charged with attempted murder and is being held in the Tompkins County Jail following his arraignment.
The Ithaca Police Department thanked the U.S. Marshals Service and the Blount County Sheriff’s Office for helping with the arrest.
