Woman arrested on bench warrant after traffic stop in Ontario County

Deputies arrested a woman in Stanley on Saturday morning after a routine traffic stop revealed an active bench warrant.

April Marie Holland, 45, of Rochester, was wanted for failing to appear in Farmington Town Court on July 28. The original charges included criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, aggravated unlicensed operation in the 3rd degree, and inadequate headlights.

State police pulled Holland over around 9:44 a.m. on County Road 20. After confirming the warrant, troopers detained her and turned her over to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

She was taken to the county jail and is awaiting arraignment. A new court date in Farmington has not yet been announced.
