A man has been charged in connection with a boat crash that happened last month on Canandaigua Lake.
The Yates County Sheriff’s Office says Benjamin Cramer was arrested on August 21 following an investigation into the July 12 incident. He faces multiple charges, including operating a vessel while impaired by drugs, reckless operation, and speeding within 100 feet of shore.
Cramer was also cited for not having a visual distress signal and failing to use an engine cut-off lanyard.
He was released with tickets and is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Town Court at a later date.
