Three former student housing buildings on the Tompkins Cortland Community College campus are now up for sale.
The TC3 Foundation announced this week it has listed the buildings with commercial real estate firm CBRE Upstate NY. All three are located on campus in Dryden and feature apartment-style suites with multiple bedrooms, kitchens, and shared living spaces.
The residence halls were built in the mid-2000s, during a time when student housing demand was booming. But in recent years, TC3 — like many community colleges — has seen a drop in students living on campus.
The Foundation currently owns seven residence halls, which once housed over 800 students. With this sale, it plans to retain four buildings that continue to house around 420 students each semester.
The TC3 Foundation is a nonprofit that supports the college and its students through scholarships, grants, and emergency aid.
