A Marion man is facing charges after allegedly trying to run another vehicle off the road — while children were inside.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Steven Garcia Ortiz following a vehicle and traffic complaint in the Town of Marion. The incident happened near Witherden and Marion East Williamson Road around 7:40 p.m. on July 30.
Deputies say Garcia Ortiz attempted to force another vehicle off the road. Four juveniles were in the targeted car at the time.
He was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree reckless endangerment, then released with an appearance ticket. Garcia Ortiz is due in Marion Town Court on August 20.
