Clyde Fire Department hosts weeklong carnival

The Clyde Fire Department’s Community Carnival runs this week from Aug. 13–17, offering rides, games, food, and live entertainment, according to the Times of Wayne County. Festivities kick off Wednesday with a ziti dinner at the firehouse from 4:30–7 p.m.

Highlights include a K9 demo, kiddie parade, live bands, car show, and a Saturday 5K race. Friday night features fireworks at 10 p.m., while Sunday wraps up with a chicken BBQ starting at 10 a.m. Carnival rides have specials on select days, and vendors will be open daily.

Organizers say the event is packed with activities for all ages, from speedway RC races to a grand firemen’s parade, making it a major summer draw for the Clyde-Galen community.
