Lyons man arrested after being found in vacant home

Deputies have charged a Lyons man with trespassing after he was allegedly found sleeping inside a vacant property without permission.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says 56-year-old James B. Yon was arrested after a property owner discovered him asleep inside the home on August 3 and called authorities. Yon fled the scene before deputies arrived but was later located and taken into custody.

He was charged with criminal trespass and processed at the Wayne County Jail, where he was also held on a warrant issued by New York State Parole for absconding.

Yon was released with an appearance ticket and will return to Lyons Town Court at a later date.
