Police say a Geneva man was drunk behind the wheel during a crash in the Exchange Place parking lot on Sunday evening.
Nicholas Aliva-Marfinez, 33, was arrested by the Geneva Police Department after officers determined he was operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .28%.
The crash happened around 7:00 p.m. on August 3. Officers responded and, through observation and sobriety tests, concluded that Aliva-Marfinez was intoxicated. He was charged with aggravated DWI and standard DWI, both class A misdemeanors, along with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a traffic violation.
Police released Aliva-Marfinez to a third party with an appearance ticket. Authorities urge anyone with further information to contact the Geneva Police Department.
