Seneca Falls woman charged under Leandra’s Law after DWI stop

A Seneca Falls woman faces multiple charges, including a felony under Leandra’s Law, after Geneva police say she was found drunk behind the wheel with a young child in her car.

Vanessa May Grady, 36, was arrested around midnight on August 2 after officers responded to a report of a possibly intoxicated driver on Lafayette Avenue.

Police say they found Grady standing next to a parked vehicle with a four-year-old child inside. After conducting field sobriety tests, officers determined she was intoxicated. Her blood alcohol content was measured at .22%.

Grady was charged with felony DWI under Leandra’s Law, along with additional misdemeanors including aggravated DWI, standard DWI, endangering the welfare of a child, and aggravated unlicensed operation. She was processed and taken to the Ontario County Jail.
