Produce supplies at Wegmans stores, including in Auburn, are limited following a fatal shooting at the company’s Rochester-area warehouse, according to company officials.
The supermarket posted a notice warning customers of reduced availability through midweek due to “circumstances at our warehouse.” The disruption follows the death of 25-year-old employee J’Mere Ridley-Smith, who was fatally shot Saturday. Police later identified fellow employee Kyshonn Green, 32, as the suspect.
Green fled to Tennessee and was arrested in Knoxville Sunday night. He is awaiting extradition to face charges in New York.
