Three Bath residents were arrested after a traffic stop and subsequent investigation led to the discovery of drugs, an outstanding warrant, and interference with police, according to the Village of Bath Police Department.
On July 23 at approximately 2:37 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle on Haverling Street after identifying a male passenger with an active absconder warrant from New York State Parole. The man was identified as 38-year-old Brian Robbins. The driver, 27-year-old Shilia Abbott, was also detained. Police say a “significant amount” of methamphetamine, fentanyl, and drug paraphernalia was found inside the vehicle.
Both Robbins and Abbott were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, a class B felony, and in the 4th degree, a class C felony. They were transported to the Steuben County Jail for Centralized Arraignment Processing.
While officers were conducting the investigation, 47-year-old Kimberly Jerrells allegedly arrived at the scene on a bicycle, caused a disturbance, and obstructed officers. Police say she was advised she was under arrest and then resisted.
Jerrells was charged with Obstruction of Governmental Administration in the 2nd degree and Resisting Arrest, both class A misdemeanors. She was released on appearance tickets.
