Binghamton man sentenced in animal cruelty case

A Binghamton resident has received the maximum sentence after being convicted of aggravated animal cruelty, according to the Broome County District Attorney’s Office. Aaron Mosley was sentenced to two years in county jail and ordered to pay over $5,100 in restitution to the Humane Society.

Between February and May 2024, Mosley confined several dogs to his garage and yard, where they lived in filth, appeared malnourished, and lacked proper food, water, and shelter.

The court’s decision reflects the severity of the conditions and sets a strong precedent in local animal abuse cases.
