The future of cruise nights at Log Cabin Restaurant in Macedon is looking brighter after recent talks between the town and the restaurant’s owner, according to the Democrat and Chronicle. Disagreements over a new special events permit law forced the cancellation of several long-running car shows.
Owner Tom Hristodoulo hopes to keep the 29-year tradition alive, while town officials say they’re working toward a safe, permitted version of the event. Traffic and safety concerns have driven the new permit rules.
A decision could come within days. Meanwhile, the Log Cabin is rallying public support through petitions and fundraising.
