Man wanted in Pennsylvania arrested in Auburn drug case

Police in Auburn arrested a man early Thursday who was wanted on a felony drug warrant out of Pennsylvania.

Officers responded to Oak Creek Townhomes around 3:28 a.m. on June 26 for a possible sex offense investigation. During their response, they encountered Jeffrey L. Raker, who was found to have an active bench warrant for the manufacturing and distribution of drugs.

According to Auburn police, the warrant is a felony charge, and Pennsylvania authorities confirmed they were willing to extradite Raker.

Raker was taken to the Cayuga County Jail. He is being held pending arraignment in Cayuga County Court as a fugitive from justice.
