A 30-year-old Arcadia man is facing felony charges after allegedly driving while intoxicated and refusing to cooperate with officers during a traffic stop Saturday night.

Deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Joshua C. Shultz of Tellier Road on June 21 in the Town of Arcadia. Authorities say Shultz showed signs of impairment but refused to take field sobriety tests.

After being taken to the Sheriff’s Office, Shultz also declined to submit to a chemical test to determine his blood alcohol content. He was charged with felony driving while intoxicated due to a previous DWI conviction in 2016. Additional charges include failure to submit to a breath sample and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

He was processed and taken to the Wayne County Jail.
