Ithaca celebrates Pride with 10 days of events

Ithaca is set to celebrate Pride Month with a 10-day lineup of LGBTQ+ events beginning June 12, according to the Ithaca Journal. The festivities kick off with a dance party and opening ceremony at Bernie Milton Pavilion on June 14, followed by Pride in the Park at Dewitt Park on June 15.

The Ithaca Pride Alliance—formed in 2024 by local nonprofit leaders—organizes the week, which includes yoga sessions, a walking parade, and drag story hours. Illustrator and Lavender Hill alum Ned Astra will serve as this year’s honorary MC.

The group also encourages community involvement through volunteer opportunities and continues to highlight LGBTQ+ history via a self-guided walking tour created by Ithaca College students.
