A woman was injured early Saturday morning when her vehicle veered off Ridge Road in Wolcott and overturned, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said Kathryn D. Smith was the only occupant of the vehicle when it crossed into the opposite lane, left the roadway on the north side, and rolled down an embankment before coming to rest on its passenger side.
Emergency responders extricated Smith from the wreck and transported her to Upstate Medical via Wayne County Ambulance for evaluation of possible injuries.
Deputies said failure to keep right was a contributing factor in the crash. Red Creek Fire Department, Wolcott Fire Department, Wayne County Ambulance, and Lake Shore Ambulance assisted at the scene.
