Baseball and softball players in Canandaigua now have a new way to keep swinging after the season ends, thanks to an exciting update from Practice Time Sports.

The facility announced it is offering flexible, open bookings for individual and small group batting cage sessions, featuring top-tier pitching machines and the advanced HitTrax simulator.

Located in the heart of Canandaigua, Practice Time Sports aims to give athletes and families a fun, active alternative to screen time, weather issues, and long drives. As one of the area’s only batting cage centers, it now offers a “practice meets play” experience for all skill levels.

“Our goal is to keep the love of the game alive year-round,” said Chris Harris, founder of Practice Time Sports. “Even when the traditional season winds down, athletes still crave a place to swing, compete, and just have fun. Our batting cages with pitching machines—plus the interactive HitTrax simulator—make it possible for individuals or small groups to get meaningful reps or just have some fun.”

Players can swing with traditional baseballs and softballs or opt for softer foam balls, making sessions accessible for both seasoned players and beginners. The HitTrax system tracks hits in real time, projects home runs in iconic MLB stadiums, and helps hitters measure their progress over time.

Practice Time Sports invites:

  • Players wanting extra reps
  • Families seeking an active outing
  • Small groups of friends competing for bragging rights
  • Coaches training athletes one-on-one

Booking a session is easy through the online portal at practicetimesports.com or by calling (585) 412-9999. Walk-ins are welcome, though reservations are recommended to secure a spot.

Chris Harris added, “We wanted to create an experience that’s part training, part fun—and a lot of memories in between. Whether you’re swinging for the fences or just seeing who can hit the longest shot, Practice Time Sports is the place to be.”
