Seneca Falls Woman Charged After 14 Pets Found Abandoned Without Food or Care

A Seneca Falls woman is facing multiple animal cruelty charges after police say she left more than a dozen cats and dogs behind when she moved out of her home.

Amber D. Goodman, 40, was arrested on April 16 by the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department on an outstanding warrant tied to a 2023 investigation. Authorities say Goodman relocated from her residence in Seneca Falls last year, abandoning numerous animals without supervision or proper sustenance.

Police charged Goodman with 14 counts of overdriving, torturing, and injuring animals for failure to provide sustenance, along with 14 counts of abandonment of animals. The charges stem from findings that the animals were left alone in the property and not given the necessary care.

She was taken to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center and is awaiting arraignment.
