Victor woman charged with felony DWI, drug possession after 911 call

Deputies responded early Sunday morning to a report of an intoxicated driver on East Victor Road and found a 34-year-old woman behind the wheel under the influence and in possession of an illegal substance.

Jessica Shoemaker of Victor was charged with felony driving while intoxicated and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree following the investigation, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies located Shoemaker’s vehicle shortly after the 911 call came in at 12:31 a.m. on East Victor Road. Authorities say she was operating the vehicle in an intoxicated condition on a public highway.

Further investigation revealed Shoemaker possessed Suboxone films without a prescription. Due to a prior DWI conviction within the past ten years, the current charge was elevated to a felony.

Shoemaker was transported to the Ontario County Jail, where she is being held pending arraignment.
