The Arc Ontario’s long-running College Experience program has partnered with Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES to offer students with disabilities greater access to college life, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
Launched for BOCES students in fall 2024, the program runs at Finger Lakes Community College and Hobart and William Smith Colleges, providing hands-on learning, class auditing, and campus engagement. Nine BOCES students participated last semester, with hopes to expand to five days a week next fall.
The program aims to build career readiness and life skills, helping students gain confidence and independence in a college setting.
