Wayne County Sheriff’s Office welcomes five new members, promotes deputy to sergeant

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office added five new members to its ranks and promoted a deputy during a swearing-in ceremony held in Lyons.

For the first time, the office swore in a new 911 Public Safety Dispatcher during the event. Cassie Wyman became the inaugural dispatcher to be welcomed this way. The ceremony also included the formal appointments of Corrections Officer Eric Vanhanehan, Corrections Officer Delilah Moore, Deputy Kyle Gravino, and Deputy Kendall Mitchell.

The celebration concluded with the promotion of Deputy Justin Lucia to the rank of sergeant. He will now serve as the office’s newest Road Patrol Sergeant. The department expressed confidence in Lucia’s leadership and welcomed all six individuals to their new roles.
