Marion man arrested after dispute leads to property damage

Deputies arrested a Marion man Saturday morning following a domestic dispute that resulted in significant property damage outside a home in the Town of Ontario.

Daniel E. Luckman, 48, faces two counts of attempted criminal mischief after he allegedly destroyed property during a verbal altercation. Investigators say Luckman threw a laptop belonging to the victim into a water-filled ground spring.

Authorities also allege that Luckman dumped used diesel motor oil on the shrubs and landscaping around the victim’s home. Deputies from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene shortly after 8:30 a.m.

Luckman was taken into custody and transported to the Wayne County Jail for centralized arraignment. He is scheduled to appear before a judge at a later time.
