The New York Yankees revealed their Opening Day starter on Friday, with manager Aaron Boone announcing that Carlos Rodón will take the mound on March 27 as the team begins their season at home against the Milwaukee Brewers.
This will be the left-hander’s second career Opening Day start, his first since 2019 when he was a member of the Chicago White Sox.
Max Fried is set to make his Yankees debut in the second game of the season on March 29.
This comes after ace Gerrit Cole underwent season-ending Tommy John surgery earlier this week.
