Hammondsport has opened bids to rebuild its Department of Public Works building after a February fire, according to WENY. Mayor Jean Jensen said the village has been working with Hunt Engineers on the reconstruction.
The Back Valley Road building was destroyed Feb. 4, along with trucks, heavy equipment and a police vehicle.
Jensen said the village has purchased new equipment and hopes the replacement building can be finished sometime in January.
