Plans to redevelop the old Bird’s Nest Motel in Skaneateles remain stalled despite previous proposals. Developer Rick Moscarito scrapped an initial plan for a hotel and spa in favor of upscale extended-stay rooms, but no construction has begun.
Moscarito tells WSYR-TV he has no plans to sell the property, attributing the delay to his focus on other projects. He still intends to move forward but has no set timeline.
While the Bird’s Nest remains untouched, Moscarito says he wants to do the site justice when the time is right. Updates will follow when work finally begins.
