Town officials are reminding residents and property owners of their responsibility to remove snow and ice from sidewalks in a timely manner or risk fines and cleanup costs.
According to the town’s latest notice, sidewalks must be cleared of snow and ice by 9:00 a.m. following a snowfall. If sidewalks remain uncleared after this deadline, property owners will receive a violation, and the town will remove the snow and bill them for the work.
“We appreciate all that are doing this already! Keeping our sidewalks clear of all debris and obstruction is very important to keep anyone who uses them safe,” the notice stated.
Town officials urge all residents to comply with the ordinance to prevent penalties and ensure sidewalks remain accessible for the community.
