ORANGE GAME DAY: Syracuse squares off with North Carolina (preview)

Syracuse (11-14, 5-9 ACC) returns to the JMA Wireless Dome for a pivotal matchup against North Carolina (14-11, 7-6 ACC) tonight at 6 p.m.

The Orange look to bounce back after a tough 91-84 loss to Miami, where J.J. Starling led with 25 points and Eddie Lampkin Jr. secured his 10th double-double of the season. The Tar Heels enter the game having dropped five of their last seven contests, including an 85-65 loss to Clemson.

Syracuse holds a 7-17 record against North Carolina in the all-time series. However, the Orange claimed victory in their most recent clash, defeating No. 7 North Carolina 86-79 at the Dome, powered by a combined 48 points from Judah Mintz and Starling. The Tar Heels won the other matchup last season on their home court in Chapel Hill.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN, featuring play-by-play commentary from Kevin Brown and analysis from Jon Crispin.
